Belledune Veterans Memorial Arena Covid Regulations
For those teams using the Belledune Veteran Memorial Arena please remember that it is mandatory to wear a mask, physical distancing is required and only 1 person per player is allowed to enter. One difference to note between the Civic Center and Belledune is that you are allowed 30 minutes before and after practices or games and can get dressed in the dressing room in Belledune.
First U7-U9 ice time
Just an FYI to let you know that the first ice time for U7 and U9 players will most likely be on the November 21-22 weekend. If that changes we will let you know ASAP, but the combination of very limited ice-time and smaller groups is making it challenging.
Additional U13 & U15 Tryout Session
We've added another U13 & U15 Comp tryout session tomorrow. Please see our schedule for details
Return to Yellow Level!

With the news that Zone 5 is returning to Yellow level, we are unexpectedly getting a lot of questions if we are starting hockey this weekend. The answer is yes, with a few "if".
October 25 Update
Unfortunately we didn't have the opportunity to start our hockey season as planned due to the Zone 5 going back into the Orange Phase the day before tryouts were supposed to begin. Here are some important updates for you to know.
Covid-19 Stoppage in Play
As I am sure you have all heard zone 5 has been moved back to the orange phase in the covid 19 recovery plan. The attached notice has been issued from HNB. Restigouche North Minor Hockey Association is part of district 11, and we need to comply with HNB directives and also the Province of New Brunswick’s directives. With this being said all events scheduled will be put on hold for the time being as we wait to hear more in the coming weeks from Government officials and HNB. Please be reassured that as soon as the Association has more information it will be shared promptly.
Additional information on U13/U15 Tryouts and U18 ID Camp
U13 (Peewee)/U15 (Bantam)
So far there has been very little interest in Comp teams for the U13/U15 divisions. Only 9 players have expressed interest in U13 and three in U15. However, we decided to hold tryouts to give players/parents a last chance to change their mind and as a way of avoiding any future blowbacks from the league, should other association ever accuse us of deliberately trying to strengthen our recreational teams. If the level of interest remains insufficient, parents will be reimbursed for any unused tryouts ice-time.
Schedule Now Available
The schedule for the first on-ice sessions for 2020-21 season is now online.
Please note that for the U11 division Comp Tryouts we need to split the players into two groups due to HNB Phase 1 guidelines. You should have received an email letting you know which group your child was assigned in.
Hockey for recreational U11-U18 divisions will begin October 17-18th and U7-U9 divisions will start on the October 24-25th weekend. Please note there might some minor adjustments to those dates.
2020-21 Registration Nights
We will be hosting two registration nights. Please read before attending:
Annual General Meeting (AGM)
After consulting with HNB, we do have to hold an AGM before the beginning of our hockey season. Attached below are the amendments being proposed and the board positions up for renewal.
