Required Certifications

Here is a listing of the various certifications required for members of the RNMHA. Please consult the HNB required certification page or the HNB Minor Operations Manual for additional details.

Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check

Print the request letter below and bring it to the local RCMP office to get your criminal record check (CRC) and vulnerable sector check (VSC) process started.

Must be completed before December 15th of the current season.

Hockey Canada Coach 1 and 2

All U7 and U9 head coaches and assistants must complete the "Coach - Hockey Canada Coach 1" certification. 

For divisions U11 and above, the "Coach - Hockey Canada Coach 2" certification must be completed. 

Courses must be completed before December 15th of the current season.

Trainer/Safety

Trainers must complete the "Trainer / Safety - Hockey Canada Safety Program - Level 1" course.

For Activity Leaders

This season, only new volunteers, need to complete The Shift Forward course available on the hockey Canada site.

Next season all volunteers will need to completed The Shift Forward course

Must be completed before December 15th of the current season.
