Training Details
Speak-out or Respect in Sport
All bench and on ice personnel 16 years and older, registered with Hockey New Brunswick, require Hockey Canada’s Speak Out! Or Respect in Sport, which is the online version. Respect in Sport is available at - http://hnb.respectgroupinc.com
Coach Level 2
Intro to Coach & Coach Stream are now combined, and referred to as Coach Level 2. All Initiation & Novice teams must have one coach certified at the old Intro to Coach or Coach Stream, or the current Coach Level 2. All Atom-Midget teams (non AAA), must have their Head Coach & Asst. Coaches certified at Coach Level 2. Coach Level 2 includes an online course, plus in-class. The in-class is a classroom session, as well as on-ice. The online portion must be completed prior to attending the in-class component. All minor hockey coaches and assistant coaches in Development AAA require NCCP Development 1
Hockey Canada Safety Course
All HNB registered minor hockey teams must have a bench staff member that has succesfullycompleted the Hockey Canada Safety Program. Their certification will expire five years after the date of the program certification course. Field Officer – Clinics
All Peewee coaches will need to take a checking clinic, and all IP/Novice coaches will need to take a Shared Ice Practice clinic. Both clinics include one-hour in-class session, and one hour on-ice. To book either of these clinics in your Minor Hockey Association contact Nick Boudreau (contact info is listed below).

Any Minor Hockey Association’s looking to host a clinic can fill out a clinic request form, which is available online - http://hnb.ca/images/2014_Clinic_Request_Form.pdf
Deadline for all certification clinics is December 15th – after that date, the online courses will no longer be available.
