U9/U11 Lady Vikings

The RNMHA is proud to showcase and congratulate our very own Lady Vikings. The association was thrilled to have enough female players to ice an all girls team at the U11 and U13 divisions this season.

The RNMHA had 48 girls across all divisions and is forecasted to ice approximately the same amount of girls next year. We would love to encourage all girls, but especially at the U7 and U9 divisions to get involved as they won’t be disappointed!

The girls finished off the 2021-22 season strong at the Dieppe-Memramcook Meltdown Tournament last weekend. U11 team came home with 2 great wins while our U13 team took home the championship! Congratulations girls!!

As you know it takes a great group of volunteers, coaches and players to have a successful season. A huge thank you to our Female Hockey Director, Serge Fontaine, for getting female hockey up and running again in our association. We would also like to personally thank coaches and volunteers. Eric Savoie, Karine Meunier-Pelletier, Mandy McIntyre, Carolanne Aubé, Marilyn Saucier, Steve Haché, Marc Lavigne, Marc Holloway, Pierre Arseneault, Louise Lapierre.

A key point in getting female hockey off the ground this year was also a strong collaboration with neighbouring associations of BDC and Bathurst. Thank you to BDC for allowing female members to join forces with us. Also to Bathurst association, specifically Jonathan Tower, for helping to arrange exhibition games for the girls.

A sincere thank you and congratulations to all involved in helping our association with female hockey’s comeback this season. The RNMHA is looking forward to growing female hockey in the coming seasons!
