Section 1: Key Guidelines
General Guidelines
- Pre-screen at home before showing up at the rink, to ensure you are healthy and have
no COVID-19 symptoms. - Any children accompanying their parent/guardian is to stay seated next to them with their mask on. No running or playing is permitted.
- No members of a hockey team are allowed to enter the building until a team liaison is ready for contact tracing.
- Players are allowed to enter the building 20 minutes prior to ice-time.
- Masks must worn at all times off-ice.
- No food or drink is permitted.
- Washrooms will be limited to one person at any given time. It will be the responsibility of each team/group to ensure this limitation is respected.
Dressing Rooms
- Players are only allowed in the dressing room 20 minutes prior to ice time
- Players must leave dressing room no more than 10 minutes after session in Campbellton, and 20 min after in Dalhousie.
- Players in divisions U7 and U9, one parent will be permitted to enter the room.
- Players in division U11 and older, parents are only permitted in the room at the request from a member of the coaching staff.
- Showers are not permitted.
Traffic Flow
Members are to follow the traffic flow in the specific arena (Appendix F). It is really important to keep in mind, we enter the rink, go to our seats, respect social distancing and remain there until the end of the event.
Dalhousie Traffic Flow
- One parent/guardian can enter and accompany their child 20 min before stepping on the ice.
- Additional parents and/or spectators must come in 5 minutes prior to game start, sign the arena's contact tracing sheet and go directly up the stairs to the seating areas:
- Teams using rooms 1 or 2, parents or guardians must be seated in sections 3, 5 and 7 only.
- Teams using rooms 3 or 4, parents or guardians must be seated in sections 4, 6 and 8 only.
- One parent can go to the dressing room area after the event is done.
- All other parents or spectators must exit via the same steps used to enter the rink.
- Players, parents and coaches must exit via the “side doors” closest to their room and not via the “main” entrance doors.
- We can not go “warm up” in any other areas of the rinks, stairwells, lobby, etc.
Campbellton Traffic Flow
- Enter the main doors (located North) and proceed to the designated seated areas.
- After the event (game/practise) is done, exit at the South end of the rink. Either South West or South East depending on which side of the rink your child's team dressing room is. Do not use the same door by which you entered the rink.

Updated HNB Return to Hockey Guidelines (Version 3).
Updates to the document include:
- Section 4 – Safety Guidelines – masks are now required by Government of New Brunswick.
- Section 6 – Return to Hockey Structure – additional information related to Facilities (spectators, contacting tracing, pre-screening, masks, dressing rooms / showers, arrival / departure times). As well as updates to ‘Areas of Focus’ during game play (altercations / scrums, spitting, benches, goal celebrations, handshakes, suspensions, regional play).
- Section 6 – Return to Hockey Structure – Phases 3, 4 and 5 – under contact, addition of physical distancing requirements outside of the field of play (dressing rooms, team gatherings, etc).
