Here are some answers to questions we've been receiving regarding the U15 and U18 competitive teams.
U15 Comp
While we delayed U15 comp tryouts until later in October, we are committed to fielding a team. We did announced that there was insufficient registrations to confirm a team in a prior article, but we know the numbers are there to have one. The delay was mostly to give time for players to get double vaccinated. We apologize if we didn't make that point clearly enough.
One problem we've heard about is parents who are not registering yet waiting on us to confirm a team. But without registrations, it's impossible for us to get a real sense of the numbers of players interested. If you know such parents, please tell them to register ASAP. They can always get a full refund later if they change their minds before tryouts are completed.
Also please note that players in that age group that don't participate in our tryouts cannot get a release to play elsewhere, as per HNB policy.
U18
U18 is in a more difficult predicament than U15. A comp team is still technically possible, but the registration number for that division is currently too low for even one team, let alone a comp one. We still have some hope, but registrations need to start coming in fast if there's any possibility of having a team.
Another big issue with this division is the lack of goalie. If you know anyone that we might have overlooked, please let us know!
