Posted Friday, September 8

RNMHA would like to take this opportunity to offer our congratulations to our amazing volunteers who have received awards from RNMHA or HNB in the 2022 or 2023 season.

Hnb award

HNB Volunteer of the Year 2023

Gaetan McIntyre

Gaetan has been in charge of all things scheduling with RNMHA for approximately 6 years. As many of you are probably aware this position requires many hours of volunteer time. Scheduling through a pandemic with all of the changes that came our way definitely brought great complications to this position, but Gaetan was able to efficiently work through all of these challenges. Being the RNMHA scheduler requires him to be constantly on call for last minute changes that need to be made. Thank You Gaetan for all of your time and dedication to RNMHA.

Kenneth Nichol

Ken has been actively involved with minor hockey since 2005 and has volunteered as an assistant coach or head coach every season since then, sometimes even taking on more than one team in a season. The immense amount of time he has given has enabled him to form positive relationships with other coaches, parents, and most importantly the players. Congratulations Ken on this well deserved award and thank you for your 17 years of volunteer time that you have given to the great sport of hockey.

Yann Savoie

RNMHA did not have the opportunity to recognize our 2022 recipients. We would like to take this time to also recognize Yann Savoie, Volunteer of the Year for the 2022 season. Yann has given his time to multiple teams each season, whether it be assistant coach or team manager he has been a great addition to Restigouche North Minor Hockey for many seasons. Thank You Yann for your years of volunteer time and commitment to RNMHA.

RNMHA Coach of the Year 2023

Ryan Court

Every year RNMHA reaches out to the parents and public for nominations for various awards. Ryan received a very heartfelt nomination that came directly from a player that he had the privilege of coaching last season. Some traits that really stood out in the nomination letter were, "good, smart and positive coach." This player was contemplating not continuing with hockey and it was stated that without him last year "I would not have loved the sport again like I do." These comments are true testaments as to why Ryan deserves this recognition. Congratulations Ryan and thank you for your dedication to the players of RNMHA.
